Sheeeeit. I’m a 100% disabled vet. Wish I could find some shop to rebuild my 1976 Corvette to driveable condition out of the goodness of their hearts, but I absolutely do not begrudge another vet getting the place where he lives taken care of.
That actually matters.
And with us spending billions of dollars on illegals or Ukraine or Israel, it should be embarrassing for the federal government when a private company takes care of its veterans here, at home.
I bet Mayor Pete stopped by for a visit. If it is legit and helped a Vet, have no problem. If because of a homo and connections, perhaps. I have a hard time knocking anyone who served because of who they fuck.
I agree, but I wonder if media and business no longer go the extra helpful mile unless there’s that little extra. Being a vet, period, should be enough for extra kindness.
Right there with ya. Work with a group that represents Veterans and first responders. When asking for a hand up from the business community, the conversation usually stops at the word Veteran and it's a done deal. But you never know with this kind of stuff.
according to the left, all they need do is SAY thank you for your service. they do not really mean it. as far as they are concerned, any benefits vets get from prior service is ill deserved.
This what being an American is about

Home Depot has programs for disabled. Will help with making a home accessible. In my past working life I used to refer clients who had a need to them.
Good to know.

Good deeds done as ads.
There needs to be a win win for all in these instances.
