There are so many Anons who could articulate way better than me the incredible changes many of us have gone through regarding our world view in the last 7 years. And, we are on the brink of yet another leap. The way we look at money, war, education, medicine, science, health, art, government, elections, the environment, corporations, families, children, babies. And, so much more. Everything is touched by this incredible time of Awakening.
It's thrilling and a bit scary at times even as I have faith to my very marrow that we will experience a new heaven and a new earth.
I am a scientist working in tech. I have always had a skeptical approach to all things and I thought this was part of science. It isn't anymore. Even my most educated friends, some of them with double PhDs, some associate professors, one professor, were not guarded enough against propaganda.
What used to fascinate me in terms of new tech, has now become an obvious set of fads and hypes. I no longer care for it and I do not think these things will make our lives better. So often do these tech people (like me) fetishize technology without ever looking at real-world consequences, benefits and draw-backs. This needs to change, asap. Stop developing things for the sake of development. Focus on actual contributions.
I thought I live in a democracy, but whenever I propose more direct forms of democracy, especially the people who call themselves democratic seem to be against it most.
I went to rallies and demonstrations against pandemic measures. They were always peaceful and we were numbering in the tens of thousands if not more. Yet, reading and seeing the news reporting on those events, they always downplayed the size and always made it seem we were all violent neo-nazis. There were families there, with children. Grandmothers. Grandfathers. Just normal everyday people.
I have always had libertarian views on many issues, because I strongly believe people themselves should decide about their own lives and not be made accountable for the bad decision of others. This feeling has only become stronger.
I used to not voice my opinions very much, but since the beginning of the pandemic I have never shut up about them.
Agree with you on the new technology issue. Back when I was a young teenager, I begged my parents to buy me a vhs copy of cutting edge CGI animations. Now we have CGI that's nearly indistinguishable from reality and I want nothing to do with it. I want to chuck my phone in the ocean as well. All I want nowadays is a cabin in the woods.
Amen! Welcome to the great awakening.
