No. Don't fear sugar. It is sucrose and glucose. The body's preferred energy is glucose. It'll release cortisol and adrenaline to convert fats into glucose. That is why keto and fasting is stressful to the body and bad long term.
This guy did a great interview with Mercola recently and has about a hundred videos teaching you about the body and energy.

The refined sugar in our food is high fructose corn syrup. That will kill you.
This is true. I understand there are micro starches in it that don't get broken down and end up causing irritation and inflammation.
Indeed.. a PET scan is a normal procedure that can be used outside of cancer diagnoses as well. They use glucose for exactly the reason you mention, it's the preferred energy source of the brain in particular, and it shows all areas of a brain that are currently active.
It's useful in brain cancer scans because you can highlight and find areas of unusual activity.
Just like.. your bones and tissues show up on an X-Ray. Then we find things that don't look right in the picture, compared to a normal picture, and then say, there is your problem right there! PETs are no different in this context.
I agree. Sugar itself isn’t the problem. People have been eating plenty of sugar for a long time before cancer got to be a huge thing.
The easiest culprit to identify and point out are seed oils; the higher in PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids) the worse they are. Takes years to get them out of your body but they are in most restaurants and processed, packaged foods.
I am sure that you meant to say that sucrose or table sugar is actually glucose and fructose, right?
I think I did. I'm an amateur with a burgeoning interest.
