While preferences for family size do not significantly differ between genders, demographic factors change everything. That's a reasonably healthy sign.
However, inability to conceive is the sticking point, and that has multiple causes, from declining sperm counts to extended education that delays marriage past the optimum fertility window--once upon a time, women were married at 18 or 19 and now its late 20s early 30s.
Not to mention the fact Marriage rates are in the shitter and Divorce is high.
Also not mentioning that a lot of the attempts at messaging of outreach groups trying to promote families and marriage. Fall surprisingly flat with the audience they’re intended for. Which is usually Young Men.
The Guy who may have seen Dad and or a Brother or two get put through the wringer in Divorce Court. Is going to take different messaging to get him to play that proverbial game of Russian Roulette. A personal desire for children or not.
