According to the Bible, God gave Israel the land from the great river in Egypt to the great river Euphrates. God also called it His land and He gave it to Israel to inhabit if they obeyed Him. When they didn’t, He drove them out but in Ezek 36, He promised to bring them back into the land for His Holy names sake. Not that Israel was deserving and He did in 1948.
