My first thought is the high alert due to the Palestinians and Israel, I've heard snippets of news fear mongering about retaliation from HAMAS as an international threat. It's how it was after 9/11, big events had national guard guarding events and big train stations. Pro Palestinians were shutting down Penn Station around 6pm tonight. Remember the color codes for danger days, red, orange, yellow. ? I think this holiday season will be color coded.
