I see it coming, just like 2008, hopefully not worse. We called the developments "pipe farms" back then. 100's of empty lots with nothing but utilities sticking out of the ground.
Absolutely. This isn’t just confidence, families are consolidating. Boomers are going to start passing, and their heirs want smaller, more affordable options. And less responsibility.
Condos and rentals will be the boom, as single family housing busts, especially rural developments.
I’m actually excited because I want to buy some acerage, but I’m sad about what it means to those that built and loved it.

On the bright side that is lots of free playground for kids... We created entire worlds in unfinished lots growing up.
I did as well...but now drive around in summer no kids
