Michael Corleone's child is being baptized in a huge cathedral. Michael is asked by the priest, as part of the ritual, if he renounces Satan. "I do renounce him."
Simultaneously, his men are carrying out the bloody assassinations of the heads of the other mob families.
Both I & II are some of the best filmmaking you will ever see and, in many ways, quite relevant to the Q movement.
It's actually Connie (Michael's sister) and Carlo's child, and Michael is the godfather of the child (as well as of the Family). Just a mild correction, but you're spot-on with everything else. I just wanted to head off any confusion before gobby has experienced the movies.
Thanks for the info. A lot of people I know have said it's a great movie, but I have always avoided it for the mob theme. Perhaps I'll reconsider one day. Thanks, fren.
I've never seen the movie. Can someone sum up the significance?
OMG. please stop what you are doing and go watch. Godfather 2 may be better. As the baptism happens he kills all the heads of the mob families
Lol. Alright, thanks for the info (and recommendation.)

Yes, of course, you're right. I clearly have not watched it recently enough and must do so again soon!
