I kept my mouth shut. Was asked to refrain from pissing everyone off this Thanksgiving and I obliged. I just can’t wrap my ahead around the amount of cognitive dissonance needed to avoid the elephant in the room. It truly is amazing. Listening to these people complain about how the real estate market is all over the place and that they can’t afford a house. How they keep getting sick. How the crime is getting worse where they live and they’re afraid to go out at night. Then two seconds later say how well of a job Biden is doing, they’re glad they got vaxxed and boosted and that guns are bad. Quick vent session for me frens. Hope everyone else is having a great Thanksgiving lol.

Same. I was with a whole gathering of leftists listening to them talk about all their ailments and declining health, how so many people they know are dying, getting sudden onset dementia, etc, how violent and crazy the world is becoming (recent stabbings) and how the Potatus is doing a great job. It’s nearly jaw-dropping cognitive dissonance.
Like you I kept my mouth shut (they’re all vehement jab proponents) and enjoyed my feast. Any truth they take to heart in the future is going to have to come from their FNM puppet masters. I’m under the impression they’re not even close to waking up to the harsh truths. I feel like an anthropologist studying behavior as I listen to these folks.
Agreed, I feel like I'm watching Animal Planet at this point with David Attenborough narrating in the background.
