The new coalition government has negotiated and signed two agreements between the major party (National) and the two minor parties. The agreed policies represent massive roll-backs of all the woke policies of the previous government. Many, many fantastic, conservative, common sense, business and farmer friendly, policies have been agreed on.
A couple of gems were on free speech:
Work on Hate Speech Laws by the Law Commission canned,
Universities must draft free speech policies.
One of the leaders of the coalition parties is the Minister of Regulations, a new government department. This has the potential to make a huge, positive difference to all our lives.
Happy days are returning after six years of darkness.
It's probably worth pointing out that none of the good things have come from the National party - that Luxon is the leader of. He is a huge WEF fan, he was fully supportive of all the Covid lunacy of the previous government and he was fully invested in the racist, anti-white policies of the previous administration.
Luxon has been dragged to the centre (CENTRE - not the right) by his two coalition partners. Make no mistake, Luxon is just a more competent version of Jacinda Ardern.
Luxon is definitely the enemy, it's going to be tough for the small parties to keep him from playing the role of Kevin McCarthy or Rishi Sunak and fully pushing WEF policies.
Most of what you are saying is true but I hope you are wrong overall.
My hope is that Luxon has been cunning in his politics in order to get elected. Remember that New Zealand has a very noisy and organised extreme left, including the MSM. I believe Luxon made sure he gave them very little to feed on during the build up to the election, but said enough to get the silent majority interested in him.
Now that he has been elected, we may find that he happily implements the conservative policies of his coalition partners. I am hopeful that any WEF strings that were attached to Luxon have been cut.
Well I hope you are right, but I have been seriously let down in my hopes for National for about 15 years now. The problem is who is top team is:
Big Tobacco - Chris Bishop who drives around in a Nissan Leaf
Nicola Willis - what a whiny socialist she is
Judith Collins - what a pathetic sell-out she turned out to be, depriving us of Simon Bridges when it was clear she was done - just to install Luxon
National have consistently done the very worst damage to NZ, all the while promising to do the opposite. RMA - National. MMP - National. Flag debate - National. Capital gains tax (aka Bright Line) - National. Oranga Tamariki - National. Who didn't repeal the insane ERA - National. Who skewed the scrum to mess up our chance of getting rid of MMP - National. Who appointed the terrible judges that we have now - mainly National. Who signed NZ up to the He Puapua UN agreement - National.
Worst NZ PM ever - Jim Bolger. Second worst PM ever - John Key - given the list above. Which is quite an achievement given they had to be worse than Jacinda - but both of them screwed NZ in a more enduring way than she did.
But maybe you are right, maybe the leopard has changed it's spots, maybe they have disavowed globalism and the WEF - but my trust level is very, very low on them.
My wife's paternal side of the family has a son who has worked in NZ for awhile, he just brought his family There from the Philippines.
The Philippines is an exporter pf skilled workers. Nurses and Seamen they are number 1, but also provide domestic helpers and construction workers. These OFW , are about 10% of their population, and provide a huge boost to the economy there.
Wages are very low in the third world, yet many things are sold globally. Chicken isn't cheaper in the Philippines than Wal-Mart just because many people have to feed an extended family on 7 bucks a day. A bamboo hut on ancestral land, is better than nothing.
A big problem though is that the huge numbers of people who prey on the heartstrings of the OFW (Women send much more home than men).
SSS ( Their Social Security system) pays very little, and many workers are not paying in so wont collect. A friend of mine gets about 60 bucks a month, and retirement is somewhat forced at 60, you can find cash jobs... So the Seniors are dependant on their children and grandchildren for support.
Many Filipinos send money home every salary. Sometimes it gets spent for other than intended needs. There is also the custom of sending 24"X18"X18" that is allowed in with no Customs Taxes and ships at around 100 bucks (Cheap!), but can take 2-3 months to arrive as it goes by sea. Then when going home on vacation they are expected to bring gifts for family and friends and have a lot of money to treat everyone EVERYWHERE until vacations done. Family and friends a bit dismayed you are broke.
That being said, I'm good with that because at least the children deserve the help. Hmm thats how it was when I helped people apply for Food stamps when I worked security at a SNAP office. Kek I know what its like to be hungry when I was a child, not often, but still...
We don't have a conservative PM - Luxon's politics are between Hilary Clinton and David Cameron. He boasts about how Air New Zealand went green rather than focussing on profit.
She went to several closed door meetings with Blackrock in New York at the tail end of last year, then abruptly resigned as PM back in Feb. At present she works for the WEF or one of their subsidiaries somewhere in Europe.
The commies replaced her with a scrawny little dweeb of a man who was our Covid minister or some shit during muh pandemic. He’s basically just been the head of a caretaker regime up until the elections last month.
This Luxon guy is a conservative ON PAPER, but yeah, a lot of pro-globalist and pro-climate change rhetoric in his history. Not sure I trust him, he’s the NZ equivalent of a RINO or a Borris Johnson in the UK. I have a feeling he’s planning to ramp up the immigration too, but we’ll see. He’s also talked about doing away with “archaic” biotech laws, which is mildly concerning 😐👍
All of the good, conservative points being passed by his new government come from his coalition partners, so we’ll see if any of it actually sticks.
Dasting, thanks, I do remember her resignation but it got shaded out by something else I guess. The past couple years have been an onslaught of revelations.

Does this signal the deep states doomsday retreat is no longer theirs to inhabit?
Since when does NZ have a conservative PM?
I'm glued to this shit all day every day and somehow missed that one.
I thought it was buck tooth horseface chick

Luxon is bald Gavin Newsom.

Cautiously optimistic
