Legal immigrants, not the same thing at all.
The article is about American citizens.
Through a Constitutional process. Not allowed in and then "granted" citizenship.
Not sure what your problem is, but this doesn't take a law degree. Anyone that wants to become a citizen of the united States has to 1) come into our country legally. 2) work for / earn it. 3) and truly want to become an American integrating into American culture and society.
I had 2 Brothers-in-arms that served with me in combat for this country that still did not get their citizenship for 10 and 17 years AFTER nearly dying for a country that was not yet theirs. I also have friends that came here after serving with Americans in Vietnam against the communists that sacrificed a great deal just escaping their country, traveling to ours, and then waiting 20 years to become Americans. It only cost them the lives of 2 brothers, a sister, and their father, plus lots of putting up with bigots and haters for years, always harboring a great love of the country they were adopting.
So, no, just getting let across the border illegally, by an illegal usurper regime, and then granting illegal "Amnesty", is not the right way, and is a slap in the face to everyone who has ever sacrificed anything for this country, or their citizenship.
