I don't have a Costco anywhere near me, but from what I've read, they've had to change a LOT about the hot dog itself and how it's prepared, in order to keep it at that price.
I imagine Sam's Club's pizza-soda combo is the rough equivalent. A slice and drink has cost around $2.50 for years now.
I had one yesterday. I don’t think it has changed much. They don’t have Polish sausage anymore and that is a bummer.
They also put the dog into a paper wrapper rather than a foil one. They now put the chopped onions in little containers which makes them easier to deal with.
