Just got gas in Ohio the other day and this gas station broke down the taxes. $3.01/gallon with $0.76/gallon tax ($0.57 state and $0.19 federal)! You are taxed by state, federal and local on earnings, then you pay gas tax, county tax on purchases, real estate tax, income tax for additional income, etc. By my estimate the federal, state, county, city owe me millions on my earnings and taxes since I was 17. Taxation without representation!
