This feature has been used on LINE in Japan for years. This feature is a non issue. This is just fear mongering.
There are two greater issues here:
first, and honestly most critically: STOP GIVING CHILDREN PHONES.
Second: In a polite, respectful society where people aren't a special kind of dickish, this would be even less of an issue. And yet we all know that the social decay occurred by rampant unchecked progressivism.
