What some Christians can’t seem to understand is that God has used people to always carry out his work. I don’t worship Trump, I worship God, but I sure as heck thank him for giving us Trump. I believe the same Christians that say this have idols of their own they are trying to hide.
You and I know that right? But there are some that believe we worship him. To be honest these are not the kind of Christians that I would want to go into battle with because they are weak minded. They are spiritually lazy. They are the ones with an outstretched hand always asking God for something but not giving to him in return.
Trump is the only President in my lifetime to speak about Jesus and God in a sincere manner. He has repeatedly acknowledged that what our country needs most is God (not himself).
Any good that a man does should know that the goodness comes from God, every action that is in service to another, is a service to Jesus the Christ. A Godly man knows this, and gives all glory to God. Why? Because goodness is God himself, acting through a man. If it were not so, we would just be like any other mammal, with an instinct to survive and procreate. Even then, God imbued the lower beasts with a perpetual creation of themselves, but no opportunity to transcend.
Like the story about the guy stranded in his flooded house. A big truck is sent to rescue him and he says no thanks God/Jesus will save me. A boat is sent to rescue him and he says no thanks God/Jesus will save me. Then he’s on his roof and a helicopter is sent to rescue him and he says no thanks God/Jesus will save me.
The dude drowns and is at the gates. St Peter greets him and says why did you dismiss all of those rescue attempts...the guy says he was waiting for God/Jesus to save him.
St Peter looks at the guy shakes his head and says, who do you think sent all of them?
Or something like that. Jist provided.
Thanks. Paraphrased and plagiarized from somewhere but perfect for the work of President Trump.
To your point, heres a little story.
Johnny was at church one day and saw a empty lot that was overgrown with grass and weeds and took it upon himself to clean it and plant flowers on it,when the next sunday came around the preacher stood up and told the congregation Thank God for our beautiful flowers and Johnny stood up and said ,"YOU OUGHTA SEEN IT WHEN GOD HAD IT".
Lol great stuff.
This comes down to the good ole
God's sovereignty vs free will discussion.
Many great minds have pondered on this question..round and round it goes...where it stops nobody knows hahah :)
