What am I ignorant of? That the Book of Revelations was written in thick code so as to not draw the ire of the Roman government, whom it was describing and fortelling of its coming merger with the antichrist called "the pope" to rekindle ancient Babylon and spawn the NWO chassis?
First of all, it's called "Revelation", not "Revelations". The Greek word "Apocalypsis" is singular.
Your interpretation of this highly symbolic book is not sound doctrine, especially since no prophecy of scripture is revealed by private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). Revelation was written when John was in exile by Domitian, so yes, the references to Rome are in code, but they're certainly not coded to predict the Roman empire turning Christian and that somehow being a BAD thing. That's pure ignorance. Plain and simple.
If you seriously think the Pope is the "Antichrist", idk what to tell you. I understand if people don't want to be Catholic and I'm not saying you have to be, but this "antichrist" business is delusional Jack Chick bullshit.
The interpretation is common knowledge of the protestants, countless thousands of whom were tortured and murdered by the Whore of Babylon aka the Catholic Church, slide
The Roman Empire didn't "turn Christian", as Catholicism does not equal Christianity, and at its core is blasphemous to Christ and His sacrifice. Christ is our direct link to the Father, not the pope or anybody else.
Oh, and the protestants knew the pope was the antichrist, but since the ecumenical movement and the WCC, our protestant preachers have lost sight of this and somehow look to the future for the antichrist, kek. It's always been the papacy.
"The interpretation is common knowledge of the protestants"
Yep a whopping 400 year old interpretation. Why not trust that, right?
"Catholicism does not equal Christianity"
If Catholics aren't Christians then that means Islam is the largest religion in the world. Your views are ignorant and shameful of a self-proclaimed "Christian".
"Christ is our direct link to the Father, not the pope or anybody else."
Cool, no Catholic will disagree?
"the protestants knew the pope was the antichrist"
Once again, an interpretation that goes back a few hundred years and created by Luther (who called for genocide) and Calvin (who personally had people executed for disagreeing with his theology). Not a good look! Just because nutcases a few hundred years ago claimed the pope was the antichrist doesn't mean they're RIGHT? Especially since the antichrist will claim to BE God? (2 Thessalonians 2:4) The pope doesn't claim to BE God, so maybe rethink the whole "pope is the antichrist" claim...
Try putting down the Jack Chick kool aid and actually talking with a Catholic about what they believe for a change. You might actually learn something.
Preach it Brother! Let’s all agree that Jesus is the same wherever you meet Him. Nobody has exclusive access, whatever they might claim.
The Apocalypse was written for a Christian contemporary audience around 90 AD. What it meant to them isn’t what it’s construed to mean to moderns. There’s nothing about Russia or China in it.
For Protestants who are interested in finding what it’s really about I’d suggest Dr Michael Heiser’s work widely available on YouTube. He was an ancient biblical languages expert, all of them. He’s got some great perspectives on the texts and what they meant to their contemporary audience, which is very unlike our modern point of view.
For the “traditionalists” try the series of homilies by Archimandrite Athanasius Mitilinaios. He goes through it word by word verse by verse and explains the layers of meaning.
Unless you’re a Freemason in which case you’ll be insulted, so best to just avoid it. J/K but he’s mercilessly critical of them.
Enemies of God and man, he asserts.
I guess he ought to know.
Ignorance at its purest form.

Coincidentally I was just going through some content by Heiser https://www.ancientaliensdebunked.com/ https://drmsh.com/exposing-the-work-of-zecharia-sitchin-part-1-elohim-in-the-hebrew-bible/ by way of critiquing the Alien/Elohim/Annunaki interpretation of the Old Testament espoused by Zecharia Sitchin, Mauro Biglino, and Clif High.
