What Alex Jones accomplished is he made everyone associate truth seeking with being a total lunatic. He turned so many people off to reality because of how insane and stupid he always acts
He always brought the sauce in my younger years & I was able to go verify it myself.
Many truthers sound crazy. Legit psycho crazy because they can't reign in their emotions on the subjects they discuss.
It takes incredible discipline, almost looking like you don't care one way or another, to be able to toss out truth bombs in conversations without looking nuts as of 20+ years ago.
You could get away in 'polite society' with saying, "Alex Jones is a nutjob, though he did show a document that claims this specific thing..." & you could help shift a mindset.
Ultimately if you were able to maintain a cooler head, over time that information stuck.
Only now is reality setting into my father as of a year ago, though all my siblings have been on a truther type path for almost 20 years due to small nuggets dropped by others that I would share in a reasonable way. They certainly don't agree with my 100%, though they do look for sauce & do their best to discern. Many times I have seen them be more accurate on things to come than I was which has helped keep my ego in check.
Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, Bill Cooper, etc... We're some great stepping stones to learning the truth about what real evil thinks & how they operate. We simply need to take the wins we have & accept that these were stepping stones to being able to wake up some of the initial truth seekers & now that movement is becoming more mainstream.
Sure their crazy antics turned off the masses back in the day, though even if any (or all) of them were controlled opposition, they got the core group of seeking started & that core group does not have the physical ability to turn that drive to find truth off. Almost like it is coded into their DNA, or is a central part of who each of the early truth seekers are.
My theory on him acting a bit nutty is that it’s a security measure.
If he was too accurate and provided too much sauce openly, they’d have probably offed him. Anyway, he’s disclosure. Litigation isn’t his arena. O’Keefe is fighting a different front. Assange was a whistleblower inlet. That’s also a different front.
Or maybe he’s a double agent. Who knows? He woke me up to a ton of things, though.
