They've been married ten years, and I agreed the blame game is just petty, and should be avoided.

The truth in situations like this is usually the one wanting to haul ass has already moved on with someone else and is just looking for an excuse to hand to friends and family for cutting out so they don't look like a sorry cheating asshole.
