If Nicola Tesla discovered a way to harness unlimited energy for all humans, and if the mechanisms are small enough, then electric cars are going to be very viable. Maybe Musk has a long range plan. Batteries are the major stumbling block to reliable electric cars. No batteries problem solved.

Not just electric cars, Fren... If they make a Tesla tower near me I'm going to build a multi-rotor fan backpack and go cloud dancing. With an electrically heated and cooled spacesuit, it wouldn't matter if I went to FL18 or if it was raining you could fly unperturbed. Even electric anti-ice.

I like your creativity here. All I want is a Back To The Future style hoverboard. Also some hidden medical tech to be released would be nice.
Imagine then, if you had a chain of these Tesla towers that overlap coverage, you could fly 1000's of miles like that. How fast? Racing drone fast, my best bet. I would have fabric wings on the "space suit" I was talking about earlier, that would allow for more speed horizontally, and distance travel in a far more comfortable manner. Of course, you would have to know how to navigate and the entirety for FAR part 91 to stay out of trouble.
