also, the 'Sayings Gospel of Jesus' (common material between Matthew and Luke) is AKA as the Q-Source, and it's material 'showing' us how to live...example; the Beatitudes are in the the Q-Source.
and the Jefferson Bible is similar to the Q-Source, so TJ also saw value in the material. he separated it out from the rest of the Bible.

not an expert, it's something I'm recently familiar with, have seen the term in reference to Christian Science, etc.
but it makes sense. the Bible says; Jesus is ''the way, and the truth, and the life'' (John 14:6)
and the word 'show' has several meanings. one being Q's 'show', and then Everything 'shown' has meaning...can be a noun or verb.
