It is possible IMO. When the “church” in question is not / was never the Church of the Savior.
Applies to any so called Christian church that values the traditions and teachings of men over the word of God. And there are a lot of them today. (I.e. requiring a human intercessor for forgiveness of sin. )
Please show in the Catholic dogma that a priest is required. I'll wait. Oh, did you find the part where any confirmed Catholic (confirmation is a sacrament here, not an adjective) can perform rites when a regular priest is not available? If so, congratulations because it's not super easy to find that, so much is hidden by the deep state, who are in every organization.
ANYWAY, Jesus is identified as a priest in the order of Melchizedek (an amazing, unique OT figure, by the way, worth investigation), and He forgave sin. Then He sent the apostles out to do the same, giving to them specifically, and only them, the authority to forgive or hold bound here on earth, and it would be so in Heaven. Then He ordained Simon, gave him the name Peter, and made him the cornerstone of His Church. If you don't know that from your NT, well, I don't know that anyone can help you. Now show where He says you can forgive your own sin all by yourself. I'll wait.

You're changing the discussion to suit your erroneous criticism of doctrine you misrepresent and/or don't understand.
Please show in the New Testament where a Priest / Intercessor is required for confession / forgiveness of sin.
I’ll wait.

Very well written. Thank you for presenting the truth
Just so I’m clear and getting it before replying.
A Catholic Priest is REQUIRED for confession in order to get forgiveness?
Because Jesus was referred to as a Priest, that makes priests able to forgive sin?
Is the Catechism equal to the word of God?
Is the Pope infallible?
