COVID must be officially over as H‑E‑B has removed all checkout barriers and removed the 6 foot stickers from the floor after just 2 years! I was over joyed now being able to speak in a normal volume to the cashier. I’m sure this will set a precedent as other stores will have to follow suit.

Walmart had to end 24 hours because they couldn't find any employees. They can't keep staffed for the hours they are open. There are 7 Super stores in my area and 15 Fresh Market stores. It takes 400 employees to run 24 hours a day and they can't keep the 225 it takes to run the shortened hours.
That is good to know. The manager of a local gas station told me the insurance stopped them from being able to stay open 24/7 months after covid was no longer a big issue. Also another smaller 24 hour grocery store night manager told me the same thing.
I could absolutely see the lack of employees causing that issue as well.
Thank you for this insight. It helps round out this information I had.
And then think of the quality of employees for the graveyard shift...blm light.
