Fire Shuts Down GM's Electric Car Plant, Execs Blame 'Battery Materials'

GM's "Factory Zero" plant was shut down after a fire broke out. The plant produces Electric Vehicles, which have a history of catching fire.

Well, I guess "batteries" are made from "battery materials", so it's not false what they're saying. Just misleading.

I've never seen a good ol' lead-acid battery start on fire. Even when I hit a deer with my Jeep at 60 mph, the battery split open and poured out all the fluid. Still started up, pulled it off the flatbed and into my driveway.
