Christ told us the poor would always be with us. We need to do what we can to help them. Unfortunately, I don’t trust many of the large organizations ( religious or otherwise) any longer that are supposed to give to the poor.

Since I live in a very poor county here in NC I do what I can to give locally. There is so much need here.
