Thus, my thought is that the obviously false VP speculation is meant to lure the reactive side of Trump, so he says something like "I would not pick Birdbrain, I would pick [insert name here]", thus giving them another name to attack and write articles about.
Without knowing a VP pick, assuming continuance of government, they can be blindsided. In a world of double/triple agents, smoke-and-mirrors and illusion, Trump's chosen successor could be anyone.
When you deprive the propaganda media of names and groups to attack, their postings get more and more ludicrous and incomprehensible and eventually due to their nature they end up eating themselves like starving hyenas who decide to turn on the other hyenas, an ouroborous of spite and decay.

This sounds likely. Nikki would be a horrible choice for VP in my opinion. He should pick someone that the cabal fears and hates like General Flynn.
Nikki would have zero chance. But the point isn't to actually suggest her as VP, as ultimately the political system is a joke. The only reason I can see to even suggest such a nonsense scenario would be to bait Trump into giving out information.

I would have a better place for Flynn where his knowledge of where the bodies are buried could be put to good use. The person that would seal the deal for Trump is RFK, Jr. Trump is an impossible deal maker and I think the items that separate Trump from RFK, Jr could be negotiated in a way to keep both happy. On major issues like border security, putting America first, not squandering tax money, getting rid of the deep state etc, medical and drug reform, they would be a great team. The best part is RFK, Jr would bring over a sizable portion of Dems and split their vote unlike anyone else.
I'll pass on RFK Jr. He's pro gun control among other things.
