Yeah, I was considering getting some of my family members together and crossing the Delaware together in memory of George Washington. Just something weird to do as a family but fun.
I’ve actually considered joining the DAR in my area. The only way you can join is it through your birth, right, or having a family member, who actually fight in the war. So I would have to provide papers, but my uncle has a copy of that genealogy, and I’m sure there’s a record of her being the president of the DAR in Studio City.
My grandmother was president of the DAR in Studio City, California. She did genealogy, and my family is related to George Washington. Representing.!
that's awesome! I'm a huge George Washington fan🇺🇸 & I see a lot of DAR references on signs around monuments, literature, etc. think those ladies have been dropping hints for decades. if you haven't seen it, you need to check out the https://www.mountvernon.org site, So much info on GW.
