We were sold the fear - subsequent lie - that we were to expect and normalise organised mass atrocities from there on in until the 'enemy' was 'eradicated'. It took over 10 years to reflect well hang on, the vast majority of the so-called 'terrorist attacks' since have been one or two person affairs killing half a dozen if that.
