I’m not 100% sure in either direction regarding the virus, but GOF was definitely funded and attempted. How successful it was is up for debate, but there’s a paper trail of the research funding, so we know they at least tried.

Definitely. They for sure tried. And changed enough laws and statutes over the last 50 years to give legitimacy, cover Big Pharma and the military industrial complex’s asses, and enable plausible deniability.
