Lucky me,,,, I have no "Cell" phone. I refuse to step into a prison on my own free will. A gilded cage is still a cage.
You hurt my ego also blew my mind at the same time. I can't wait till the day when I won't need a cellphone for work.
That day is today. You’re choosing to work somewhere that requires a cell phone, fren.
Many careers are accelerated by having a cell phone. The key is to control it, instead of allowing it to control you.
The same principle applies to money, video games & Q research (as a few examples). Never allow something to consume all of your time, this creates an addiction & a type of slavery. In today's world (post Covid) it seems incredibly hard to get any decent customer service from bigger corps that used to have phenomenal service. This is now an opportunity for smaller competitors to offer fantastic customer service & is greatly enhanced with access via a cell phone. There is a brand of HVAC here in Utah, a small company) that the owner gives their cell number to customers who don't feel like things were done me the right way. He comes into the home to see what was done (ie check the work of younger installers) & to explain how systems work, along with the care needed to prevent future problems. He is a guy who was doing this stuff in the 70-80s & knows the best customer service will make this brand a success. It is working in today's economy. People seem to crave the great service that was more abundant pre Covid, and even more abundant before the 80s.
Just things that consider when claiming someone can simply choose to not use it. As long as they set boundaries, a cell phone is an amazing tool. It needs to boundaries are set, it is a terrible master. Worse than money IMO
