The capitol was only “closed” due to COVID at the time. At any other point, people would be allowed in there.

The Capitol is never opened to the general public when a session is taking place.

Anyone visiting also must have a clearance and are restricted in where they can go.

Dude, that's just sad, trying to pretend anyone can just go and do whatever they want in the US Capitol Building, especially when such an important event was taking place.
