A stiff punishment for swatting is needed: 10 years in prison (minimum), stiff fine (including damages to the person swatted and the expense to taxpayers). Just like protesters who block public roads and government buildings, same punishment: 10 years in prison and fine paid based on number of people inconvenienced. Unless and until there are proportionate repercussions, people will continue to do this.
It is probably the FBI swatting these people that go against the grain!
It is amazing to me how abusive people manage to get police to do their abusing. I had a friend come home from the grocery store one day and a cop was waiting for her. She was issued a restraining order by her philandering, abusive husband. She had 15 min to get her stuff and get out. He and his girlfriend lied to the kids, and told them she was on drugs (he had put in her nightstand). It was truly incredible. He had planted a few things to make her look guilty. Then he actually tried to get me to and all her friends to believe she was a druggie. Didn't work. We knew he was a lying piece of scum.
So that’s like 10 different homes that have been spotted in the last week.
Somebody needs to start keeping track of how many people in what dates. I’m not seeing me because I can’t do maths. 😂👏👏 kidding…
If people want to add to this, I’ll try and make a list.
Why aren't any state police investigating who made the call that resulted in the swatting, and what they claim was their reason?
Someone like Turley should be able to file a lawsuit against "John Doe" and get the phone records or other communication to find out who did it and go after them, at least civilly, and try to get criminal charges filed.
It has to be a small network of individuals who are doing this.
The comments are interesting.
Let's make a law .....
No, the process is too easy to call a swat team.
Remember Die Hard?
Shots fired! And they finally send one car to check it out ....
Quite a different thing, no? Between this and that, there is tweaking of the process. You don't need a law for it.
Swatting should be investigated. If no law is needed but it is still left alone, something needs to change.
