What makes this premise more significant is that is not the worst picture of Detroit in 2016. I have seen many pictures of Detroit in this era that show the collapse of a once great city. When a character on The Simpsons says that Detroit “is living in Mad Max times”, you know that city has crumbled into looking like a war zone.
I’ve seen pictures of Old Detroit and some of the beautiful buildings and architecture there. “Paris of the West” it was once called. Absolutely tragic. I hope Trump can help restore these once great cities.
For all we meme about Detroit though, it is important to remember.
Detroit is still better than Chicago.
