1st priority: abolish the Federal Department of Education. I'm 71 and a "product" of the public school system. The DOE was established in 1968. So I went thru public school, for the most part, before the establishment of the DOE. They had local control of their public schools with some "help" from the state.
2nd priority: abolish teachers unions or greatly limit their power/control.
