back in 2014, when I was first diagnosed with my disease, there were a lot of sources of information that said that kidneys do not like protein, and that people with kidney diseases should limit their protein intake to only a certain amount of grams (based on your body weight) of only high quality proteins (ie meat, fish).
Nowadays, all of those studies that I read are gone. They've completely vanished. Now all I can find is information saying that people should eat tons of vegan proteins in order to be healthy, which is the exact opposite of the truth! Vegan proteins are a double whammy for the kidneys! Not only does the low quality protein irritate the kidneys more than they help the overall protein count, vegan proteins are also high in toxins and the kidneys have to work harder to filter the toxins.
Theres a lot of docs now bringing to light that all plants contain carcinogens. Vegan diet is really rough on the gut and many other systems. Kidney issues are similar to diabetes in the fact that the diet they put people on is one that accelerates the problem instead of reversing it.
