It's weird but I have no clue what it means.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/07/us-defence-secretary-says-he-takes-full-responsibility-for-secret-hospitalisation
"Air force Maj Gen Pat Ryder said the White House and the joint chiefs of staff were notified about Austin’s hospitalisation but would not confirm when that notice happened. Politico reported that the joint chiefs chairman, Gen CQ Brown, did not learn of Austin’s situation until the day after his hospitalization."
"Many believed Austin was on vacation for the week."
Hmm. So from that it sounds more like he said he was on vacation when in reality he was getting surgery? It's his time to do w/as he pleases I suppose but I've seen elective surgery managed more adeptly at the local fish fry.
"The top Republican on the Senate armed services committee, Senator Roger Wicker, accused the Pentagon of failing to inform Congress immediately about such matters, as required by law."
What law is that I wonder?
"It remains unclear the extent to which his duties were delegated to his deputy, Kathleen Hicks, or whether Austin was involved in any key decisions during his absence."
"Not even Hicks knew Austin had been hospitalized when she began assuming some of his duties, CNN reported Sunday, citing two unnamed defense officials."
Da fuq? 🤣🤣
I can only come to one conclusion when considering that the Secretary of Defense goes missing for four days and the President, the Pentagon, Congress and his own deputy Secretary are unaware.
He was detained by WHs or is dead.
