But a huge proportion of the rich/elite ARE psychopaths because they are so intensely drawn to power.
It's not that power corrupts. We've had it backwards all this time. It's that the corrupt are drawn to power. Having no conscience means they'll happily do anything to get it. And they do.
Once we learn to recognize the narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths among us (and they are everywhere), and stop letting them be in charge of ANYTHING from an HOA to a country, then things will change. But not before.
I understand what you're saying, I'm just trying to understand why it's all tied up in how much money someone has. If it's just a case of people being sociopaths/psychopaths, why does it matter if they have money?
I understand that money can buy bad people out of trouble, but there must be a reason why people associate the very wealthy with the horrible things Q speaks of. And surely it can't be all wealthy people who do these things. There must be some middle-income or even low-income psychopaths out there.

If you're filthy rich and also a psychopath, you will have the reach to do tremendous damage - sometimes on a worldwide. You can buy companies, elections, people, countries, everything, and bend them to your will. We're watching that right now.
If you're poor and a psychopath, you become a homeless serial killer. Still extremely damaging but just on a smaller scale.

This is exactly what keeps us imprisoned by them: The idea that these people are only bad because someone was mean to them. In other words, it's OUR fault that they are psychopaths and we should feel guilty and grovel to them to show our remorse (literally) and do everything we can to give them second chance after second chance and try to make them feel better.
