This is why at many European airports (and Zurich) they have police on the jetway and everyone is instructed to walk with their passport visible. I imagine this is so they can refuse entry to asylum seekers who threw their passport into the trash on the plane.
Why let them IN so that they can turn around? Tell them to back up! Do government vehicles not have a reverse gear?
I'm not in the security field, but it seems like ejecting someone from inside is much more difficult than simply keeping them out in the first place.
