who made yemen the world police? they have no authority on the global scale. they have no authority in their own country, in some places (houthis only control 2/3 of yemen). i am well aware of what houthi's "declared". so if them declaring they are attacking civilian ships in solidarity with Hamas is legitimate, us declaring we are attacking them out of solidarity with israel/global shipping is equally legitimate.
