I believe Alister Crowley went out in a similar fashion. I doubt the satanists teach the ending of their idols to the initiates though...

Anyways, the (probable) books I am referring to would predate Crowley and LaVey by centuries. Millenia even. I assume they have the books from the library of Alexandria. Books from a time of spiritual free-for-all. A time of unbased unfounded assumption-turned-doctrine. And these elite idiots probably latched onto it "oh its secret knowledge, must be true! Don't need Jesus, I know how it all REALLY works! Look at the plebs following Jesus. We follow the laws of the universe"
