This looks to me like it is a flying soldier in a jetpack with a backpack, camera or other sensing device hanging behind him, or another soldier in a jetpack in tandem behind him. The way the image goes all opaque and shadowy as it crosses some of the base may be because they employed a cloaking device allowing it to be visible only by infrared. The question is, was it ours or an enemy who is flying over unimpeded?
Remember we've also had the Williams X-Jet since 1969(!), allowing a solitary soldier to fly a small, light-weight, Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft. How much more hi-tech do you think it has become in the 55 years since then?!
This is what I think it is:

it was opaque and shadowy because it was thermal video
There is normal color video of that thing out there. It's an opaque, and shadowy thing.
Of course it was, but it switched from details being visible to looking like a gray, opaque shadow. Did you not notice?
yeah i did. im waiting on the rest of the video were it went underwater for 18mins
