It seems to me that, while microplastics and their endocrine-disrupting nature are definitely a valid concern, I get the perception that it's a conveniently-timed focus in the media cycle just as we see news that cancer rates are spiking through the roof. Notably amongst younger folks as recent articles have pointed out. I even see Redditors bringing it up when people discuss the subject, while continuing to deflect from the potential that it could have been "sudden" cancer from the gene manipulation. The insidious nature of cancer reminds me of the debate around climate change. It can be blamed on literally anything. Just a thought....

I have been trying to go 100% plastic free in food. It is so hard where i live when everything is wrapped in it.
