If you sign up with Facebook do you have to give vital info? like race, size, gender, political preferences? Or can you just sign up without giving that stuff? I hate FB, I've never signed up, yet I do use FB marketplace, do they have my "stuff"?
last i heard you need a cell phone# which is their most desired piece of information, since it's used as a primary key on a database to link you to many other things.
You don't have to give much info except your age. But if you are tracked for more than 24 hours they can fill in the blanks with a estimated profile. I would love to know Big Mike's profile.
You need an email and I think phone number is optional. I can’t remember. Most people use their real name, first and last. I’ve had several accounts at different times with my real name and other times using a fake name. You have to be over a certain age, I think 14 but you set a random birthday. You will have to confirm your account by email. There’s a way to keep anyone from seeing your activity. I have a fake name account to keep up with local information and look for local for sale items. I’m not concerned with my email and phone number because that’s public information if you search hard enough. I was trying to find an old coworker’s phone number and found her email address and every cell phone number related to her, probably her kids. Do a search for anyone you know online and the information is out there. It also lists your child, parents, in laws etc.

Sure, you can, but that's like walking into FBI headquarters and expecting to not be surveiled
