“The unprecedented injury rate”. Injury = profits via long term medical treatment. Regardless of who is punished for the crime, the medical field will reap monetary rewards from it for a long time. (Much like they will for trans medical treatment and surgeries.).

A portion of those medical bills are subsidized by taxpayers at the fed, state, and county levels. The people injured go on disability. Its a mess all around
