What he's saying is that he has noticed a paradigm shift of black people moving towards Trump and he's waiting to see how big that shift is. If it's a huge shift, then he wants to shift with his demographic so that he doesn't end up being ostracized by the black community.

Basically he's a grifter and he's waiting to see where the grift is going.
