I'm not seeing anything about people who were unable to get coverage prior to the fire. I'm seeing a lot about a lot of claim money that is still in process and how many people never bothered updating their coverage value over the years and how what they're getting will not be enough to cover what it would cost to rebuild.
It's a hard lesson to learn I'm sure. Maybe the same schools that can't teach the kids to read or right can teach them about how budgeting, saving, credit, and insurance works.
I can tell you first hand that they fight you on paying what they agreed to pay prior to fires occurring. This was 2004-5 cedar fire in San Diego. It’s a racket. If I had the documents scanned and not in a box somewhere I’d show you the shitshow.
