No, you're correct. It's the Nahuatl language for 'flower', but hispanicized.

Kind of how English speakers anglicized the Scandinavian/old norse/Icelandic/German words for flower, and we end up naming a girl "Blossom".

Now to be fair, I did NOT know the etymology of "Hinojosa" until about 30 seconds ago. It's Spanish and means 'fennel'.

So her name is 'fennel flower'.

Kind of a cute name for a girl, I guess.
