Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) of 1976, a group of non-profits and individuals petitioned the U.S. EPA in 2016 to end the addition of fluoridation chemicals into drinking water due to fluoride's neurotoxicity. The EPA rejected the petition. In response, the groups sued EPA in Federal Court in 2017. A 7-day trial was held in June 2020, with no ruling by the Court. The next phase of the trial is expected to be in January 2024

Connett pointed out that fluoride’s transfer from the mother to the fetal brain was an undisputed fact agreed upon by both parties, as were fluoride’s neurotoxic effects on fetal and infant brain development. Connett described how several of the EPA's own employees agreed under oath with the assessment that fluoride is a neurotoxin.

I think that the first paragraph has a real gem… …in other words… Attorney Michael Connett pointed out that the EPA agrees that it is an undisputed fact: Fluoride has neurotoxic effects on the developing brain of a child. And the EPA agrees that fluoride is transferred from the mother to the fetal brain.
