"Dead on Arrival": Speaker Johnson, Scalise and House Republicans Reject Senate's Immigration Bill; Mike Collins: "The Worst Scr...
Leading House Republicans soundly rejected the Senate’s bipartisan bill on the border and Ukraine funding Sunday night.
Would somebody please explain this to me? Yesterday there were posts about a bill that passed and was 60B for Ukraine and 20B for the border, and supposedly Johnson gave it the nod. Is this the same bill? I hope so. If so, I'm glad Johnson said No way, Jose.
The bill's details have been released. The vote is on Wednesday.
Thank you. I think a lot of people (even here) don't understand how this process works. I remember a few people saying they didn't know a bill had to pass both the house and senate before it was sent to the president to sign into law. That shocked me. I'm glad it's not a done deal yet. Appreciate the info.
Do you have the bill number? Is it still H.R. 2 or does it now have a S.B. #?
All I can find is H.R. 2
