Yeah, what's up with that? No handler ever would allow that. The last thing they would want is to have Potato Joe speaking with no teleprompter. Even if they did want tor replace him its still horrid optics for the dems. The dems could have just easily had Joe have a "stroke" or "heart attack" and then decide to resign for "health reasons".
