🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
Some diabetes medications seem to do more harm than good. He is otherwise healthy. He did get 2 jabs and lost some weight after he stopped driking liquor. Os there anything he can do besides entering the medical world to treat/cure and getting on those scary meds? Thanks agead of time. I know this isnt the place but i yrust yall more than anywhere else. Thats crazy in and of itself 🤣
A strict diet may cure his Type 2 diabetes. I am not a doctor, but my husband was on 5 diabetes medications (oral) because he refused insulin, and then had stage IV renal disease. By watching his potassium, cutting out carbs (except those in berries and vegetables, he lost 30# and got off the insulin they put him on. He only takes 5mg of glipizide and if he went back to cutting out pasta, bread and sweets entirely, which he reverted back to while maintaining his weight, he would be able to quit that one med. He isn’t willing to do it though. I am not a doctor, but diet plays a big part in all diseases. We never eat fast food anymore (not that we did before) and rarely eat out. Fast foods are high in bad fats, as are commercial eggs. Try to eat organic free range eggs and cut corn oils. Do NOT follow the food pyramid which advocates a great number of grain servings. In the U.S. GMO grains are the death of us. His A1C went from 6.8-7 to 4.5-5.0. Fasting blood sugar 90-135 when he was upper 200-350 before. Ideally your fasting blood sugar should be below 110, preferably 100. Usually when you have a fasting blood sugar of 151 or greater, you need insulin.
